Amongst The Waves

This collection is inspired by the fleeting, yet profound sensation of the body's reaction to cold after summer swimming. Each abstract piece on paper is an exploration of that momentary shift, where warmth recedes and a refreshing chill takes hold. The intricate lines and patterns within these works, reminiscent of Japanese Sashiko embroidery, also symbolise the healing and restorative effects this experience has on both the body and mind. Just as Sashiko repairs and strengthens fabric, these pieces aim to capture the revitalising power of that post-swim chill.
